CNA was saying that the most important question is what next ?

My question is which Ministry did not do their job and it was unearth because of a "contractor" leaking the news about the gold tap.

The real peanuts is the amount of money that is used for dialysis, just 10 cents for every dollar.

i wonder

you pay peanut and you get monkey.

for $600k (is this the correct figure quoted?), 10% of the fund goes to direct aid.

so if say ideal is 50%, so must pay $600k x 5 = $3,000k

if like the tao organization featured in the news last night, 80% goes (is this figure correct?) to direct aid, than must pay $600k x 8 = $48,000k.

?????

wah lau ehhh..... again har......

Min khaw will speak up on the govt's responses to kpmg report at a press conference late morning today.

$600k x 50% is not 3,000k but more should be 300k
$600k x 80% is not $48,000k but should be 480k

today's ST even uncovered more shocking news.... about first class tickets bot overseas and hundreds dollars worth of thousands of tickets unconsumed.....

Actually one can't blame Durai. In fact I take him as an idol, one to be admired and respected! And I propose we have him as a role model for all management students especially those majoring in Charity Organization Management.

Put it this way, how does one managed to hookwink the Health Ministry for 4 years and when accused, brillantly counter accuses the accuser of attacking his Intergrity! Brillant counter move I must say!

I also cannot help but lay praises on how he managed to offer to take a lower pay but end up getting more than what he askes for! Superb negoiation skills!

And how he came up with the idea of having charity fund raising shows with mega prizes to attract Greedy Singaporeans to call and donate in hope of winning a prize.... What a fantastic idea!! And dont forget getting artistes and patients to look as pitiful as possible to garner more funds.

And one must not forget how ex aides and board of directors are also owners of companies that supply to NKF and in turn account for unrecoverable funds....

One cannot stop praising Durai and the entire NKF Board.... we should be ashame of ourselves for wanting dead such a great man! In fact he should be nominated for a prize and public service medal! LONG LIVE DURAI! THE GREATEST CHARITY WORKER IN SINGAPORE

then offer him worship and 3 x incense stick

It would be a good and sincere gesture if all the previous board members, including the ex-CEO, give up one of their kidneys to the NKF patients. That would be a nice X'mas presents.

i like the way u "suan xiao" the ex-ceo....smell vinegar.....;p

Just out of curiosity.

What are the kind of benefits for sitting in the executive committee? :dunno:

Else it would be hard to get those 'who's who and who' to sit around like lame ducks and relinquish the power to Durai.

Isn't it?

It's not original. Hong Kong has been doing the same for years before Singapore. He just copied the concept.

...waiting to hear the garmen response.... patiently

this episode shows that loopholes still can be exploit in Singapore Laws and regulations ... Singapore Man of the year 2005 ------------> "TT DURIAN !!!"

correction. from my record(as at 10 june 2003), the wife of the ex-chief justice was a council member of the General Council. She was not a committee member of the Executive Committee as at the same date.

but in hongkong the charities will not beg you to donate and lure you with LUCKY DRAW prizes....and hongkonger still donate, US$3.85million in just one concert, who is more efficient in comparison?

http://www.newsgd.com/prdcorner/hkmacaoexpress/200501100028.htm

i guess durai just exploit the greediness of Singaporean to make them open their wallet.

I am mighty jealous of the people working in NKF. Increments almost every month, resign come back then salary shoot up to 20k a month. What kind of world is this. I slog and every month I don't even get the peanuts. I don't feel like working anymore - damn demoralised man. NKF still hiring or not?!? I want a job there ...
