You may get the body with kit lens as well then you will have plenty of time to compare and see which one do you like The Most.

For those who are interested in the Gariz Case, it will be available next Monday or Tuesday in our dealers store.

You may PM to register your interest with the authorized dealers who will contact you once the stock arrives.
Anybody bought theirs yet ?
Just bought mine. :)
By the way, the 14a spare battery is now also available. ;)

Where did you get the case? Holland V?

I was told to go to funan. But too far for me to go down..

TKFoto at Funan.
Better go down soon. After transport fare goes up in April, besides being too far, it would be more expensive to go there too. ;)

You may buy the gariz case and the spare battery first. Then buy Df later once u have already made your mind.

Yes. Silver body and lens kit both available now at TKFoto. ;)
Buy. Buy. Buy. :)

For those who got the gariz case, and comments so far?

Look very retro especially brown on sliver body!

Nikon Df is used by the professional wild life photographer, Moose Peterson, during winter.

"Nikon Df actually is a tough camera today. Many seemed to have gotten the impression the Df isn’t built well, quite the contrary! The Df is solid construction and up to this point, handling with ease everything I’m throwing at it!"

In my opinion, the black and brown Gariz case can go with the silver Df while the black one is best for the black Df.
The black case is especially good for the black Df for the ultimate stealth protection as it is not obvious when used on the Black Df and the texture of the case leather matches that of the faux leather of the Df body. The case fit the body so well that outsiders might not even notice that the camera is in a half case because of the black-on-black combination.
One flaw of the Gariz case here is that the increase in thickness of the base makes it very difficult for the fingers to pull the card out of the slot.

Does it give the DF a better grip?

I have no idea as I have no problem whatsoever with the grip of the Df in the first place. I suppose that the additional thickness of the case should make the size of the grip bigger and easier to hold for those who find the original grip too small.

I think in general, Nikon bodies are engineered well. Short of a drop of the camera with a heavy lens on, they normally hold up to abuse. (of course dropping the camera with a heavy lens mounted is always to be avoided like plague)

Has anyone tried using flash triggers on Df? Contacted Pocketwizard and they mentioned that they have not built any firmware to allow their existing triggers to be compatible with Df. They can't confirm if they will create any at all...

Which series of Pocket Wizard do u have?

I am a strobist. I have been using Nikon Df with Phottix Strato wireless triggers and it works perfectly fine.

Any update? ;)

Paiseh.. It is black (we feel the black carries better, also I will be masking the model info so easier to hide on the black)... but I had the flu since, and absolute no time to click it at all!!! Not even at work.. :-( but time will come (let it rest for a bit).. :-)
