Nikon 8400 indoor settings

hi,
i was trying to snap some pics in indoor(using auto scene indoor mode), but picture result to be blur and sometimes too far causes the pictures too dark. Does anyone knw how to do the settings? Many thanks

1. use the flash.

2. attach external bounce flash and play with settings.

3. if pictures still blur, all I can say is that the indoor lighting too dim for your CP8400 (as most prosumers do) to focus accurately.
