Neopan 1600 is it really gone?

I read rumors about Fujifilm ending it's production of the Neopan 1600. All I know is, this film often snaps up like hot cakes, and why would Fuji wants to stop production of one of their better films? How true is this rumor?

They once said the same thing about the Superia 1600 as well, but it seems to have made another appearance after some months when Singapore did not have them on the shelves.

I will surely miss my fav Neopan 1600 film, as I often use it for all my night shoots with a fast lens. The Ilford 3200 just does not have the same effect on me compared to the Neopan, I guess I will have to start hunting for them on ebay before it completely gets snapped up.

Anybody in Fujifilm can verify this please?
