Lianhe ZaoBao is organizing this NDP photography competition.
Just to translate a little bit, just you haven't been reading Chinese for a while:

Prize: a pair of ticket to NDP or previews
Photo theme: use photo and caption (limit to 150Chinese characters) to express your thoughts on the national pledge.

　　想不想赢取今年国庆庆典的入场券？那就参加本报主办的“
2009年国庆照片比赛”，以照片和文字体现信约对你的意义吧！

　　配合国庆日的到来，本报主办国庆照片比赛，读者只要把与每
周主题相关的照片和文字寄来本报，就有机会赢取一对庆典门票，
到浮动舞台感染热闹欢腾的气氛。

　　今年的庆典以信约为主轴，因此共六期的比赛主题都会围绕着
“信约”。第一期的主题是“繁荣”，读者可以发挥创意，透过镜
头捕捉我国繁荣昌盛的一幕，如市区的高楼大厦、新加坡河一带的
夜景以及忙碌的上班族等。



第一期截止日期是5月18日



　　读者只要把照片和最多150字的短文寄来本报，便有机会赢取庆
典门票。

　　欲参赛的读者可把照片电邮至zbphoto@sph.com.sg或邮寄到《
联合早报》摄影组，1000 Toa Payoh North,News Centre，
Singapore 318994。

　　第一期比赛的截止日期是5月18日。本报将在本月22日刊登得奖
名单，同时联络得奖者。



比赛规则



＊参赛者须缩小照片，确保照片不超过30 kilobytes，长度在1280
像素（pixel）或以下。照片可以以JPG格式发送。

＊每名参赛者最多可提交五张照片，并须在每张照片附上不超过150
个字的短文，说明照片如何体现主题，以及国庆对你的意义。

＊电邮照片须以参赛者的身份证号码作为照片名称，如
S1234567A_1.jpg和S1234567A_2.jpg等。

＊照片不能进行电脑加工或特别处理。

＊参赛者须是唯一的照片版权持有者。

＊主办单位不会退还照片给参赛者，并不会对损坏照片负责。

＊所有参赛作品的版权归主办单位所有。主办单位可在无需缴费的
情况下把照片用作其他用途，如刊登报章或交给国庆庆典执委使用
等。

＊评判团有权作最后决定。

＊六期比赛中，参赛者只能获奖一次，作品也不能曾在其他比赛获
奖。主办单位有权淘汰曾刊登在刊物上或在其他比赛中获奖的作品
。

＊参赛者必须注明中英文姓名、身份证号码、住址和联络号码。

Rules and Regulations


＊参赛者须缩小照片，确保照片不超过30 kilobytes，长度在1280

Photo size is not to exceed 30KB, 1280px at the long side in JPEG format. (from personal experience, photoshop save at quality 8 or 9 will be enough)

＊每名参赛者最多可提交五张照片，并须在每张照片附上不超过150
个字的短文，说明照片如何体现主题，以及国庆对你的意义。
Each contestant can submit a maximum of 5 photographs. A writeup of under 150 words is required for each photo, stating how the photograph represents the topic, and the significance of NDP to you

Photographs sent by email are to be renamed with NRIC as photo name. E.g. S1234567A_1.jpg

＊照片不能进行电脑加工或特别处理。

No post processing or editing of photographs is allowed

＊参赛者须是唯一的照片版权持有者。

Participant must have sole rights to the photograph

＊主办单位不会退还照片给参赛者，并不会对损坏照片负责。

ZaoBao will not be returning the photos to participants, and will not be responsible to damage to any photographs

＊所有参赛作品的版权归主办单位所有。主办单位可在无需缴费的
情况下把照片用作其他用途，如刊登报章或交给国庆庆典执委使用
等。

All copyrights of photos submitted will be transferred to ZB, and ZB has the right to use the photographs in its articles, or to forward to NDP committee for publicity use

＊评判团有权作最后决定。

Judges' decision is final

＊六期比赛中，参赛者只能获奖一次，作品也不能曾在其他比赛获
奖。主办单位有权淘汰曾刊登在刊物上或在其他比赛中获奖的作品
。

Each participant can only win once in the 6-week competition. Photographs which have won prizes or have been published in any media before are not eligible to take part. Organiser has the right to disqualify such photos.

＊参赛者必须注明中英文姓名、身份证号码、住址和联络号码。

Participant has to state both english and chinese name, NRIC, address and contact number when submitting photographs
