First pix: Should have cropped off the left side ;)
Second pix: bring the whole dog into the picture; second thoughts portrait mode works better in this case since the background is not so appealing :)
Third pix: OOF (out of focus) :blah:
Fourth pix: Average shot as lack of centre of interest :)

Nice effort. Just my neng jiam worth okay? :) Let's see what others have to say :blah:

Hi,
you've probably noticed that i'm newbie myself, but would just like to comment on your third pic (ubin coast), cause its a mistake i make rather often myself. That is, the horizon is not level...perhaps an error during composition, and pushing down on the shutter button too hard?

Al

Thanks for the comments,I will try to look into that? by the way i dont really understand what does it mean by horizon not level? Can anyone please explain it to me :dunno:

Keep coming!!! I need more comments to improve,so please feel free to post your comments n point out any mistake i have made.Even u are newbie but had made similar mistakes please let me know also,we learn n advance together :)

You may like to lower yourself to shot the dog, instead of usual top down view.
Better to include the whole dog, or crop the dog off like chop away the part below the 'shoulder'. cropping just the end part of the feet looks a bit funny.

When taking landscape pic, the horizon (where the land/water meets the sky) need not be exact centre. Search for 'rule-of-third'.

"Horizon not level" means your horizon is not horizontal. : )

2cents worth from another newbie

hi , if you look at the third and fourth shot you will know the diff btw the two horizon level? Do you feel like the third shot the whole pic is slated to the right, however the fourth pic is level. :)
