organized by the People’s Association (PA) PMET Division and Buona Vista Community Club, with Canon Singapore as a major sponsor.

Venue: Buona Vista Community Club (Nearest MRT is Buona Vista MRT, with ample public car parks near the CC)
Join avid photographer and Managing Director of the City Developments Limited Mr Kwek Leng Joo as he talks about his personal journey in appreciating the simple things in life through photography. Take a moment to share in his journey, and you may find that what really matters in life lies in the most unexpected places. This is followed by a sharing session between Mr Kwek Leng Joo and Minister Chan Chun Sing who grew up in Tanjong Pagar GRC.
About “My Neighbourhood Gems Series: What Really Matters – An Evening on Photography with Mr Kwek Leng Joo and Minister Chan Chun Sing”
Through “What Really Matters” and other community photography events under the PA PMET Division’s “My Neighbourhood Gems” Series , we hope to build residents’ pride and ownership in their neighbourhood and provide a platform for photography enthusiasts of all expertise and backgrounds to come together as a community to make friends, share ideas/activities.
In the run up to the event, we are also organizing “My Neighbourhood Gems – Capturing Tanjong Pagar Heritage” online photo contest (Deadline for submission: 20 July 2012), with SGD1800 in cash and prizes to be won. Participants simply need to photograph what best represents the historical, cultural and community heritage of Tanjong Pagar GRC. All prizes will be presented during the event on 15 August 2012.
