My Brother's Cat

Went over to my brother's place yesterday with the intent of capturing his cats, managed to catch the more docile one in the end, since the 'prettier' one was in hiding. But Latte's a real sweetheart nonetheless. Comments and critiques would be appreciated.

try a shallower DOF, to blow out the bg. also lighting seems insufficient, the right eye (left from our view) is too dark and the patch around the eye accentuating the darkness doesn't help. perhaps a shot from the other side, with a stronger side light would be helpful and more interesting. this can't be your only photograph of that cat right?
