For those interested in setting up cheap home studio....you can mount cheap $2 white umbrella as shown..

Band size varies depending on yout setup...

or silver one...might have to change the silver part from outside to inside...

BTW, if you cannot get white or silver umbrella, can always stick A3 size paper onto the umbrella, although it is a wee bit more troublesome. However, with white paper, the amount of reflected light is somewhat more, so you can get smaller aperture..... (often, the silver side is the wrong side!)

Or spray paint an umbrella silver. I did one for a friend's wedding. :bsmilie:

One consideration is mounting the umbrella on a tripod may not be high enough.
 

Silver? White? Actually, what is the difference in photo terms. Can we reproduce silver colour in photos? Or gold colour? Anyone know the tech part of this color called silver?
