Does anyone use motion film to shoot? I read about Kodak's Vision 3 film and they have up to 15 stops dynamic range! The problem is removing the rem-jet layer. Can anyone share your experiences in removing rem-jet layer?
This is the ECN2 process guide. Under the prebath formula (pg 7-27), you can find the formula you need to remove the rem jet layer. Mix that up and you're gd to go.. that said, its slightly different from c-41 formula.. I dunno how well it will work for vision 3 films if you use a standard c-41 processing kit..
Kodak's Portra 400 has the same underlying technology as Vision 3 .. similar grain structure, exposure latitude and dynamic range. Here is a comparison.
I've been using this for a year now, and I'm hooked to it. It is a bit expensive, but how is this for ISO 1600? No pushing, just normal C41 and scan, plus minimal noise reduction in LR3.
