Does anyone use motion film to shoot? I read about Kodak's Vision 3 film and they have up to 15 stops dynamic range! The problem is removing the rem-jet layer. Can anyone share your experiences in removing rem-jet layer?

i dun have experience on their color film but if you want to buy B&W motion film, here are some source:

* 5222 Double X film: go ebay. or try this linkBlack and White Negative Film
A 400ft roll is about 150usd.
ISO 50 - 200 film.

* Polypan F: iso 50. really cheap motion film. try this link:Lumière Online Shop
A 150M (not ft) is around EUR 36.
ISO 50 - 100 film

* ORWO film, Eastern european motion film. the ORWO 54 is ISO 100, the ORWO 74 is ISO400
ORWO North America | ORWO UN54 (Universal Negtive Film), 400ft

I own a smack of double-x and polypan f, these are for doomday, end of days scenario.... still thinking about orwo 74....

This is the ECN2 process guide. Under the prebath formula (pg 7-27), you can find the formula you need to remove the rem jet layer. Mix that up and you're gd to go.. that said, its slightly different from c-41 formula.. I dunno how well it will work for vision 3 films if you use a standard c-41 processing kit..

Thanks so much for the info! Gonna get some to try!

Lucky not asking about Flexichrome.

Kodak's Portra 400 has the same underlying technology as Vision 3 .. similar grain structure, exposure latitude and dynamic range. Here is a comparison.

Twin Lens Life ~ Fine Art Film Photography ~ Los Angeles Southern California ~ Bwright Photography: In The Bleak Midwinter - New Kodak Portra400 vs Vision3 500T 35mm

I've been using this for a year now, and I'm hooked to it. It is a bit expensive, but how is this for ISO 1600? No pushing, just normal C41 and scan, plus minimal noise reduction in LR3.
