21' - Two fantastic stops by David De Gea! First from Navas and then Aguero. Still 0-0 and we have the Spaniard to thank.

after evenly match up...

RED CARD Chris Smalling has been sent off for Man Utd after picking up a second yellow card

There goes our defense line this season.. already thin now stretched even more.

53' - This looks worrying for Marcos Rojo. He's down clutching his left shoulder. Paddy McNair will come on. 63' - Goal. City 1 United 0. Serio Aguero sweeps the ball home to give the home side the lead.
82' - Substitution. RvP off, Wilson on. Here's James Wilson, who scored four v City in the Manchester Senior Cup in August. #mufclive

13 points from 10 games is very very disappointing by LVG standard. Something is very wrong either with the players or the team strategy by the manager. The reasons for such a miserable state of affairs, who are the real culprits, can we turn around the season with a quarter of league games over??? MU should fine Smalling for his silly mistakes of getting send off, knowing well that the team needs everyone to be around in this crucial Manchester Derby. What can LVG do, any suggestions from loyal MU fans and supporters, given the current squad of MU players left!!

the problem with man u now is they can't bring the ball from above the defense line up to the opponent's box without side passing for like an hour.
U need somebody who can hold the ball with confidence and bulldoze pass the midline.
Neither Blind, Herrera or fellani can do that.
IN another words, not good enough.Did u see how Yaya Toure play? He was basically dictating the flow of the game from centre line up. And all the red shirts were watching.

and LVG not showing his passion by sitting there like a statue with a pile of notes in every game is not helping morale.
U got a manager with no fire so what do u expect from the team?

even Moyes was shouting at the byline.

Defensive issues for van Gaal

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed he has issues in defence ahead of Crystal Palace's visit on Saturday.

Although Marcos Rojo does not require surgery on the shoulder problem that forced him off in the Manchester derby last weekend, he obviously misses the clash against Neil Warnock's side with Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones also on the sidelines.

"Marcos dislocated his shoulder but did it in a positive way," explained the boss. "We don't need to operate on him. It's a relief but maybe, with this injury, it is very difficult to prevent it from happening again. That is the problem.

"He saw a specialist yesterday evening who said the conservative way to heal it is best. For him, it was positive. Always with these injuries, I cannot change that. The human body has been made by God - not by me. Conservatively, it can be less than six weeks. If we have to operate, 12 weeks."

The absentees ensure there will be more changes to the manager's XI with Michael Carrick, Paddy McNair, Tyler Blackett and Tom Thorpe among the contenders to play at the heart of the back four.

"When I want to select the same line-up, I cannot," added van Gaal. "It's the same every week. It is like it is and I don't want to complain or cry because I have great belief in the players, myself and my staff. Also the supporters who are supporting us despite the results.

"Smalling is suspended. Evans and Jones are still injured. So I have to solve a problem but I don't want to say who is playing yet."

On-loan striker Radamel Falcao is another to miss the visit of the Eagles due to his calf injury, with the manager confirming he has not recovered in time, and the same can be said of right-back Rafael.

defence problem

Think we should just off load Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, Rafael and Phil Jones ... Replace the whole backline...
