hmm ... the background looks dark leh ... how is the lighting when you took those shots ..

Early evening. Still fairly bright, but because exposure was set at 1/200 f8.0 the background became severely underexposed.

what is the mode of the camera u use ? Av or Manual for 1/200 f8.0 ? is it easy to control the ring flash in manual mode ?

Very light lah.

13+21+31mm extension tube on a Canon 75-300mm 4-5.6III (non IS, non USM).

Not too bad, eh?

Manual mode, not Av. Ring flash on manual - no control. Full power every shot. Fairly consistent.

Thanks .. full power flash ?? .. hmmm how far is the object to the lens ... will it cause overexpose effect to the object ...
