Yo rayman!

Yeah Baby Yeah! Queued for over 2 hours. Was no. 25.

Can't wait to try it out over the weekend!

*rubbin' hands, eyes gleaming like a little boy presented with an early Christmas gift* .. *men and their toys*

Are you still using the one at Aki? ;)

Roch,

You managed to get a CS-III at Sitex. Cool!

Hi everybody,

can you share what SCSI card are you using, how much & where you bought it. And most importantly does it work well?
Pls share tips so that all of us can learn & benefit together

FYI This afternoon, I bought the
- Adaptec 2906 PCI SCSI Card @ $95
- WireTek 1.8m SCSI II cable DB50M/DB25M @ $30
at M Technic Resources Sim Lim Square (SLS) #06-41

there's another shop I think by the name of 'Cymax' at 5th Sty (or 4th sty) selling the Adaptec 2940UW OEM version @ $168
I think it also does not include the external cable.

Not sure whether will it work well on my PC.
Hope to install & test the Nikon CoolScan III (LS-30) this Sunday.

Happy scanning....

Just FYI, better get shorter cables for SCSI-2 to get optimum performance. Typically 2-3m for the entire scsi bus for SCSI-2 (10MB/s), shorter as speed increases with the exception of LVD.
