Liverpool lining up move for AC Milan star Ronaldinho - report

Liverpool are the latest in a long list of clubs reportedly pursuing out of favour AC Milan playmaker Ronaldinho.

The Brazilian, 30, has become a peripheral figure at the San Siro, with boss Massimiliano Allegri preferring Robinho.

Ronaldinho's lack of regular football has led to speculation his time will be up in January as promises of a new deal have been placed into the background by AC Milan.

Itasportpress now claims Liverpool are looking at the former Barcelona man, and Roy Hodgson is said to be looking for a creative side-kick to line up alongside Fernando Torres.

Ronaldinho would arrive on a free transfer as his contract at AC Milan expires in June, leaving him free to negotiate with other clubs.

However, Liverpool would have to convince him to drop his €7.5 million (£6.3m) per annum wage demands for the man who has also been linked with moves to Los Angeles Galaxy and a host of Brazilian clubs.

Liverpool close to making a move for Finnish International
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is closely monitoring Finnish defender Niklas Moisander who currently plays for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

Moisander is a two footed player that can play either centre back or left back and is just the sort of player that Hodgson is seeking, a versatile player that is affordable.

Moisander would set Liverpool back about €4 Million and at 25 years of age still has the best years of his career in front of him, he has already broken into the Finnish national squad and with Hodgson’s close contacts in Finland it is thought that this may help in persuading the player to set up camp at Anfield.

The defender first came to the attention of fans in the UK when he scored the winner against Wales in a world cup qualifier back in 2008 and while he is not a prolific scorer he does tend to get the odd goal now and then.

I am surprised they did not find more pests at the old toilet :bsmilie:
