Line appears in the middel of photo taken from my LX-3

Anybody knows why this happen? recently i took out my LX-3 for shoot, after a few shoot i found out theres this line appear in the middle of the picture. what causes this to happen? i seldom use my LX-3.

Sensor gone case liao. Need to send to service centre for replacement. With Panasonic might cost ~$300 to replace.

I should think so but you do need to read the terms and conditions of your extended warranty to confirm.
