I am on half day and went walking around Clarke Quay before picking up my wife. I saw this group of purple flowers along the riverside and thought it might be a good idea to test out the rokkor bokeh on it.

I chose this stalk that is higher and near to me. As I am focusing at the MFD of 0.6m, the depth of field is about 8cm so I have to align the focusing plane on the flower resulting in some of the leaf stalks looking quite clear too. Overall, I tried to The bokeh which looks very creamy.

I attend the first birthday party of my university friends' daughter. She doesn't smile much, probably because she is uncomfortable with strangers. Throughout the party, I tried to take her smiling and this is the only one worthy.

It's a quick snap as this happened in a flash. I think I moved so 1/40 captured the motion blur. Luckily, it's still sharp enough to be used.

We brought our daughter to the Lorong Halus Wetlands area to walk. Along the way, my daughter was point at this cricket.

The place is full of thin stalks of grass which makes a nice background. I position the cricket to the left third facing to the right which seems to show a big world to explore. Shooting it wide, the bokeh makes the busy background green and simple.

Took a walk with my family in a cloudy afternoon in Botanic Gardens. I wanted to take this stream but I don't have my tripod and ND filter so gotta improvised. I used the short light post beside and stopped down to f16. Luckily the sky is cloudy so I can still achieve some water blur for this shot. The pathway is sloping upwards and it made the shot looks skewed :/

Trying to achieve symmetry with this shot but it seems to be skewed. Maybe I am not in the center. I like the sharpness of the OM 24mm.

I was helping to take a birthday party and saw this little boy playing with bubbles outside. So I took the chance to take a snap too. For this shot, I overexposed by 2-3 stops when moving out of the restaurant so I had to adjust it PP.

I was at Harbourfront helping a friend to take pics for her award. This group pic proved a little challenging. Everyone is crowding to the front and the distance to the stage is so close. Even at 24mm on full frame, I am still not able to get everyone. So, I moved 1 row (of chairs) backwards and stood on the chair to take. Luckily, everyone fits in just about right after avoiding all the bounce cards and flashes of the photographers in front.
