If you’ve upgraded to Lightroom 4 and are having any issues then you may want to take a quick look at this latest post by Adobe’s Lightroom Product Manager, Tom Hogarty. Personally, I haven’t seen any of the issues except for Edit In stuff (see below) but I’ve heard from people that have. The biggest ones that I’ve been hearing, have to do with the “Edit In” workflow from Lightroom to Photoshop and Tom addresses this. There’s also one about the Point Curve that Tom writes a “high severity bug” that they’re working on very hard. However, I’m not a big fan of using the Point Curve so that one hasn’t affected me personally. At the end of the post Tom reminds everyone that they’re listening. So if you do have any thoughts or feedback, please make sure you send it in to them. It wouldn’t hurt to post here too as I’ve been trying to keep track of everything so I can blog about it as I find out. Thanks.

Seems this Version 4 still needs a few weeks to mature. No need to rush for upgrade.

Point Tone Curve Migration
In Lightroom 3, the Tone Curve panel added a “point curve” adjustment option in addition to the default parametric curve. When a customer upgrades their Lightroom 3 catalog to Lightroom 4, any images with point curve adjustments will lose those specific settings.

A fix is available here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18653315/Lr4_ToneCurveRecovery.zip
More discussions can be found here Lightroom: LR4 doesn't display point curve adjustments made in LR3

LR 4.1 RC is out.
