No money for models so bought my own $36 doll for unlimited TFCD (actually don't even need to send CD). Practicing wireless SB800.

good idea. keep documentation of the various setups of light and reflector/s to see the effect on the face of the doll. doll's face is life size?
 

Hmm.. this is as far as I can re-create (using an "expensive" showercap for diffusion). Still waiting for my umbrella. Speaking of which.. I wonder why girls are scared of this doll..

Here is another test shoot: using blue plastic corrugated thinge (don't know what its called) from popular as background.. white plastic thingie to reflect back the light to the front (because I only have 1 flash)... transparent acrylic and another white thingie (I really need to know the name of that plastic thing).. for the reflection below... the rest are explanatory in the photo.

Disclaimer... I'm no expert ad learning from my mistakes, so I'm sure there are better ways to do this.
