Lighting, Composition, and the feeling that live in old chinatown.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Definitely i go to B&W pictures, i saw uncle with tattoo in his left hand, staring his friends who play chess. The place that i shot this one is at kreta ayer square, chinatown.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Very crowded at that time, maybe because it's a last day of lantern festival.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I can't show more on the tattoo, because he's wearing the safari t-shirt.

Took me awhile to figure out it was tattoo as i deliberately not read your description first. The design of the shirt and the tattoo blended too well, not something i quite like.

Leaving this in colour would be much better. I noticed every time my eyes focused on his pants leg, as it's the brightest part of the image.

You can do a low saturation process for the coloured version, but please do not do one of those 2/3 B&W 1/3 Colour gimmicky versions.
Then burn in the pants leg just a touch.

Love his shirt btw.

the photo is nice except i think u should hv took out the pants from thigh and below, showing some of it can le....please i dun mean take out his pants! u know what i mean la. cos the pants below dun say anything to ur pic. just me bah..
