ya, the aperture will affect the shuttle speed. but i guess if u use a tripod for takin landscape or still photos. the mian priority is getting a small aperture to get the desired sharpness in your photo, so the shuttle speed is not the main concern...

ya, agree that the tripod helps to steady ur shot, esp in an awkward angle
 

btw, it's 'shutter', not 'shuttle'...

dont worry! since ur lens is within 28mm to 80mm, just bear in mind that your shutter speed stay at at least about 1/45s to 1/90s. any lower u will risk handshake

go take some photos, scan and show us :D
