CK Tang dept store used to have laksa at the 4th floor "food court" ... per bowl was $6 then but i think it was the best laksa .... lots of taupok, big prawns, egg, clams, etc... really good value for money though it was considered "very expensive" for a bowl of laksa.
it was in the early 90's .... whenever i was in Orchard Road (which was very common as my clients were all in Orchard), I would go there for the laksa .... then the parking was like $1 per hour at most of the buildings, and weekend was like $1 per entry .... lol ... and no ERP! Then, you would spend 8 hours at Taka and the parking was $1 .... now you try to do that in ION, you get a mini heart attack!
