iPad with camera connection kits VS Epson P-5000/P-6000

iPad 64GB + camera connection kits will cost $1k+

Epson P5000 or P6000 might cost $700-800

If you're only gonna use it to backup images, the Epson P6000 probably makes more sense than an iPad.

yeah agreed to this.. but isn't it better to have it backed up to another device as well?

I think this is a valid consideration. But in reality, the Ipad does not really back up your photos. It will transfer your photos, but they will be compressed and at reduced resolution. What the ipad can do is to work as a ad-hoc photo viewer and to upload to the internet if u have 3G.

The P5000/6000 probably will back up your photos, but I think the screen being smaller, not so shiok as a viewer.
