Not bad. That guy's E10 can do B&W prints. And his Ilford Multigrade IV developer can develop colour prints as well.

Very touching story. It must have been very painful to have the Ilford developer splashed onto your eyes. Moral of the story: Do not leave chemicals on the edge of the shelf, and cap them tight.

Observation: No, the camera guy and the assitant ain't gay. The photo assistant likes the girl (note the way the PA looked at her at the beginning when she is apolagising after she got in the way)

Well, I guess the lyrics is fitting for the end of the story. The girl will "curse him" for the sacrifice he made, her wish is not for him to lose his vision. And also for giving her up and handing her over to the photo assistant. She still loves him

He still loves her, but he feels that he is responsible and is angry with himself (scene where he sit in the darkroom and his espression in the scenes after that) Due to his love and guilt he sacrificed his vision. Perhaps due to his guilt or handicap, he cannot be with her (Korean Man ego is bigger than japanese ah~) and hand her over to his assistant who he knows like her as well so that someone would take care of her.

My personal intepretation.

Well, since we're dissecting the video, there are a couple of recurring themes:

1. The girl is very clumsy. She bumbles into the photo shoot, she gets soap in his eyes, she spills her drink on the photos, she spills Ilford developer in her eyes.

2. The guy's eyes are doomed. She gets soap into his eyes, hurting them. He sprays champagne into his eyes. He rubs his eyes when she first comes to see him in the studio. Then of course he has to donate his corneas.

His eyes are the greatest sacrifice, because without them he cannot indulge in his greatest passions - photography and motorbike racing.

By the way, after she recovers, she looks into the mirror (at the hair salon) and probably notices for the first time that her corneas are a different colour (just before she hallucinates that she sees him, when actually it is the assistant delivering the magazine cover).

I don't really "get" the raining part, though. I thought it's because she had romantic notions that they should be sharing the umbrella, but he was being more practical. Typical "Men from Mars, Women from Venus stuff".
