i have a dry box with a dial where i store my cam body and some accessories. i added silcone gel and locked it tight but the reading is always about 65-70%

Leak or your RH gauge meter spoilt.
Buy digital one and put in see whether you will get the same reading or not?

Prefer (40~50)% RH

I just got mine 30L for $100/.

By the way, the dry cabinet can go all the way to 30+%. How come most people keep their equipments in 40-50% or 45-55%? I thought drier should be better?

If you can wait, the small ones are usually given free during the expo's.

Otherwise you could post a WTB in the B&S section.
