Hoya HMC filter

Hmmm. It looks v new packaging. Clean and crisp. So not sure if it's old stock.

Talking abt kenko Pro1d, can u believe the price is just $24-$26 for 55mm? I was abit surprised by it.

Yup. That is the pricing for kenko pro 1 d clear protector. That is why I say it is such a good value.

Where I can buy Hoya skylight filter?

This one also very hard find. 49mm.

It's for my prime lens, for portrait shots. :)

Skylight will give a warm color to the skin isn't it?

Actually it makes the image less blue than more pink.

Filters are subtractive devices, filter-to block/retain. Skylight trims the overall blue, it is intended to cutout excess blue from the sky and also green that can come from surrounding vegetation.

Indoors, you don't have this issue indoors. Fluorescent and other lights that are not neutral is what you have to contend with. Photoshop or something similar is more practical since filters only provide fixed corrections.

Skylight warms up the image captured very slightly. But why bother if you are using digital, and can tune white balance to your liking?
