What setting should we use for fireworks lets say for a 100mm shot with f/4.5
With or without flash also?

WA Lens (100mm is too long i think)
Shutter - 1second-10seconds depending on what u want to do (just a guide)
Aperture - f/8-16 ish (To help maintain a trail on the fireworks)
No flash, it will not be able to reach unless ur very very close

Snoweagle said:In fact, u should use a wide lens, the wider the better. Aperture wise should be smaller at around f/8 - f/16 and shutter speed can be between 2 - 15 secs, depending on ISO and aperture.
Flash???? No one takes fireworks with flash, not even night sceneries. Unless yr flash has the power of a spotlight.

Thats why need the black card lor..CYRN said:100mm also can take wat... individual burst loh.
then PS to mix and match
Normally use iso100 @ f8 to f21 use aperture to control how broad you wan the streaks to be.
But do note that there are some burst that are extreme... like golden shower and where you need to up the ISO or use wider aperture. On the other end, there's the "everything-at-one-go" mass orgy... that one sure over

the moment the fireworks come up, or before?
i mean since this is long shutter speed right?
Find out hyperfocal for your lens at certains aperture. Use it.jerry2308 said:How about focusing? How do you guys focus? I doubt u can use auto focus right?
