How to remove the sticky feel of the lens and camera body..

After a couple of years of usage the rubber parts on the lens and camera body tends to have a sticky feel...and what is the best way to remove it?

rubber is melting, just replace the rubber.

if ur referring to bodies like the Panasonic G1 those rubbery surfaces...i did use those rubbing alcohol to rub away the stickness.

well if all else fails....sell it and avoid that type of equipment!

Just send it in for replacement. Canon replaced mine for free, even though they say the charge is supposed to be $20 since I'm out of warranty lol.

I know of someone who place his X-mini speakers which is also rubbery and melting inside a server room for few days, after few days it came out all ok. you can try that... hehe...
