There is never enough disk space.
My computer only has the operating system, the programs and some space for local documents. All the rest is sitting remotely on a server where the disks are running in RAID1. No need to mess with the small space in a computer, server cases can easily house several hard disks and the operating system (Linux) knows how to deal with that in a proper way. Net capacities of >1TByte are not an issue.
The only thing unsolved is backup... either the tape drives are affordable but it needs a tape jockey to swap the tapes .. or the better tape drives kill my budget. Let's see with Blueray...
Don't think there's a 1TB portable (2.5") yet.
Your best bet is 1TB 3.5" drives, but i can't remember prices offhand. Some scouting in Sim Lim should render you good results. Memory prices can only go down.
aggressive deletion policy.. is the best way to save space.
but in the off chance that people actually want to buy photos that you think weren't that good.. then you have a problem.. :bsmilie:
External 1TB ranges from $299 to $369.
Internal 1TB is around $230+
External 2TB now is $700+++++++
I'd say get what you need, and have an organised storage structure.
