xotic said:Hi, just would like to enquire how much is a half day wedding photography covering tea ceremony and dinner which is about 6 hours duration?
catchlights said:have day and dinner, how can cosider half day? thou 6 hours needed.
not much less than the usual whole day package.
One more thing, wedding photographer beware those people ask for half day wedding shoot, say no dinner, want you to qoute half day price, actually there are having wedding brunch or lunch, end up the total service hours are the same as day plus dinner. some more no brake for photographer in between, so also no lunch offer to the poor photographer, in the end photographer work from early moring till 4pm have no food, only drink, still want to ask for half day rate.
Photographers better take note, if someone ask for half day, better ask properly, if it is having wedding brunch or lunch, just qoute whole day rate, and ask for lunch brake, no brake and no whole day rate, ask them to find someone else.
blurblock said:Worse .... lets charge by the photograph chosen .....
Base charge of $100 service charge, non refundable.
For the 1st 100 photographs : $5 per picture.
For the next 100 photographs : $4 per picture.
For the 3rd 100 photographs : $3 per picture.
if the couple take 300 = $500 + $400 + $300 + $100 = $1300.
For every 100 pictures, 1 Wedding Album will be given.
Base charge to be offsetted if the couple chose above 150 pictures .
LOL...... sooner or later, it will down to this ;P.
Charge by the hour? Where is the time in time out clock?

blurblock said:Just out of curiousity, what does the photographer do between the tea ceremony and dinner? I sincerely doubt there would be another person wanting the other "half day" wedding.
Belle&Sebastain said:just quote by the hour, everything will be covered.
catchlights said:Yes, charge by the hour, that's the way to go,
couples will be wiser for planning how to spend thier money on the wedding day photgraphy.
And photographers will be able to use their time (service hours) more productively.
it will unlikely to see photographer show up earlier then the make up artist, or wasting time waiting for relatives to show up for tea ceremony anymore.
How long is your lunch brake? did your company pay you salary during your lunch brake? any brake must be more than 3 hours, 4 hours or 5 hours is up to you to set.pixelArtwork said:errrrrr, r u sure that works? what if the client says, he/she wants from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., then from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and not going to pay between 5 and 6 because there is no activity??? :dunno:
