Hi All, can someone advise me how do I change the AF-Area Mode?? I can't seem to click on this mode in Custom Setting as it doesn't allow me to select it. When I select it, it displayed "This option is not available with current settings"
I tried to read up the manuals and google on AF-Area Mode but doesn't give me the answers I need.
Btw I am using D40, 50mm f1.8 lens & 18-55 kit lens.
Thanks for your help!

Please check if if your model dial located on top of camera body is at Point-and-Shoot modes (or Digital Vari-Programs) such as "Auto" or "No Flash" or "Portait" or "Landscape" or "Child" or "Night Portait" or "Sports" or "Macro" mode.. If so, please turn the mode dial to "P" or "S" or "A" or "M" mode.

AF-Area mode selection will determined automatically by camera when mode dial set to "Auto" or "No Flash" or "Portait" or "Landscape" or "Child" or "Night Portait" or "Sports" or "Macro" mode.

This limitation is indirectly explained on page 24 of D40 DSLR manual.
