At DPReview, under 'File Write/Display and Sizes", the "Time to store" is often longer than the "Shot to Shot" time. How is that possible and why is that so?

For example, under the Finepix F31fd review, the time to store the largest file was 3.7s, but shot to shot with flash off was only 2.4s.

Please help thank you.

The camera can continue shooting and storing in the high speed buffer, while a 2nd process can slowly write the files to the memory card. This can go on until the high speed buffer is full.
