Help! DVD Writer Problem

Hie Guys,

I need some help here. I just purchase a LG GSA2164 DVD writer (external). I have encountered a problem here.

It plays my Jay Chou DVD fine, but it will not read another DVD drama disc at all. When I press play, it says "DVD format not supported". I find this strange since this is the latest writer and supports all formats. Both DVDs plays fine on my phillips DVD player connected to my TV.

I need quick advise ! I wanna watch my Korean Drama in my room :embrass:

There doesnt seem to be any region information on both DVDs. Pls help!!!

Try another DVD software? I'm using windvd, so far no problem on any dvds yet. :think:

Some more information abt the problem.

I insert the disc, it spins for a while... then stops spinning. The DVD drive F: when I click on it shows nothing. When I play on Power DVD, it says DVD format not supported. The DVD is the "Jewel in the Palace" supplied by POH KIM video. I hope i can find the root of the problem. Thanks for helping
