HDR is usually 3 shots with different exposure merged together in photomatix or something. If I have a RAW file and save 3 files with exporsure set at +3,0,-3, is it the same as taking 3 shots from cam using bracketing?

just to follow up on the 1 single raw into HDR...since ACR cannot do away with exif and since silkypix need to pay, is there are software out there that can get rid of EXIF from TIFF pics?
