I will be at Orchard tomorrow evening. The first parade is tomorrow so I will be able to assess whether it is possible to take picture behind the barricades.

For Sat, the parade will start at 7 but then the road will be closed at 5 pm. So if we want to have a good spot, we will have to be there early.

I think it is possible. YOu will have to go to their gathering point lor. Anyway 3 pm is not possible for me as I will be having a class then.

Unless you're just shooting them pass by. I'm sure the 135mm end of your kit lens is long enough (135 x 1.5 = 202.5mm!). Btw, when are you guys going to shoot?

ORchard control will not be a good idea. Road will be blocked by then and pedestrians will be using the underground to get over to the other side. I foresee it will be crowded in the train station. WHy dont we meet at Heeren where the DBS ATM machine is?

Hi guys, I was there tonite to survey the place. haha...I have found a place which I think is good for us to take pictures. But then i'm not too sure what time we should meet.

for tonite's parade, it was supposed to start at 730pm. When I was there at 8ish, the parade had not started. It was quite a long wait. During this period, there were some street dance but they were kinda boring. At about 9pm, then the real parade started. So I'm not too sure whether tomo's parade will be the same or not.

Also, i noticed a lot of audience sitting on the road where the parade took place. have no idea how they managed to get over the barricades.

Anyway, according to Chingay website, the road will be closed at 5pm and the event will start at 7pm.

So what time do you guys think we shld meet leh?
