Hi All,
I have been reading some posts regarding Color Management in this folder, I must I am pretty happy that Singaporeans are catching up fast in the concept of printmaking.
After I have left Epson Singapore, I have been setting up digital darkrooms and solving color issues of professionals and institutions.
I think being a high tech country, we tend to focus too much on our equipment and very little on our workflow setup.
I'll be off to London for 2 years to do my MA Photography in Feb, I guess what I can do is perhaps conduct a color clinic for you those of you who are interested, i would say for about 20-30 pax. Of course i will try to make it free and in a convenient central location.
Let me see what I can put together something with the vendors that i work with.
Basheer Graphic Bookstore Gallery
Bras Basah Complex Level 4.
Saturday 4th February.
Tentative Timings:
Session 01: 1100-1230 (30 pax)
Session 02: 1300-1430 (30 pax)
Session 03: 1500-1630 (30 pax)
Would appreciate if someone here can help organise the logistics here while I sort out the venue and sponsors.
My last contribution for the community before i leave!
Topics(Prelim) can include:
0) The Digital Darkroom - How to spend you money wisely
1) It's getting FLAT! - Using LCD monitors
2) 8bit vs 16 bit - Turning RAW for the first time
3) HELP! Print don't look like screen! - Calibration and Profiling
4) The most expensive liquid in the world - Use DYE or PIGMENT
Something like that, not overkill technical, but sharing my experiences as a Photo Artist who has the benefit of learning both Analog and Digital in school.
Cheers,
nic
