when i use Canon DPP and Photoshop CS4, i can freely manipulate the tone curves with multiple points whichever direction i want.

now i am perplexed why Lightroom 3 only allows adjusting the curve on a straight vertical axis at any point? This prevents me from shaping the curve in a hump form which i typically adopt.

i haven't seen any setting that can "unlock" this constraint? what should i do to grant me this freedom?

Export to PSD and do it in CS4. ;)
