For CF card: Delete all or Format ?

Hi all,

Once my CF filled up (after all transferred to PC),
I usually format it from the cam. (much faster than delete all)

Just wondering would it shorten the CF card life (format rather than erase all)? :dunno:

AFAIK, either formating or erasing, the OS is just remove the data that store at FAT (file allocation table) directory, so new incoming file can use the recycle slot/space.

Any input from you guys :think:

I usually format the CF after each transfer to the comp because it removes any hidden files that take up unnecessary space.
