No stylist, the Chef does the styling. Just work proactively together with the him on the styling, and give some suggestion.

Generally the fine dinning chef, and those competition chefs are capable of doing the styling.

Ok here are some more to wet your appetite

Thanks, :sweatsm:

The series I am and will be showing are actually not the regular menu. They are specially worked out for a more healthy sort of diet and meant for some ppl with special dietary needs. At the same time maintaing the taste and flavor (that's why cannot be too brown or even look too brown hahahah). Actually they are tasty and one would not know the difference

Thanks, are you still shoot food?

yes sir! i specialise in food fotography as i love to eat! :bsmilie:

now coming to year end, so the workload is increasing as most retorans are rushing out year end set dinner promotions etc.. but overall still can make it la! :sweatsm:

i think that ur flash might be too harsh when shooting food on white plates. white is very reflective and if the flash is too harsh, it might wash out the white plate.

i would think that some shadow play is good as it gives the foto more dynamism and more 3D.

let us all jiayou!!! WOOOO!!!

Sorry to say that the images do not really show that there is any control in your lights.

In the end, they all look like snap shots.

Just my opinion.

Most of the photos are overexposed, losing many fine details. I would say the chef is good in his cooking and styling.

Thank You :) hahahaha, either you must have tasted them and saw the process of the photo shoot :) or the images here give that perception

Mmmm looks delish *drools*

I actually like the whiting out in most of the shots cos it isolates the food (which is what you wanted, right?). Esp like the shadow in the salad shot at the beginning, it looks almost as pretty as some of the food :eek:

I'm guessing the clinical look was chosen by Client to associate their menu with a 'clean' and perhaps even 'scientific' or 'medical' look, considering the menu is a health-based one?

Some of the world's largest cosmetic or skin-care houses like Clinique use that same approach. Even their name sounds (and means) clinical or private hospital! :bsmilie:
