Flim to Digital Quality?

I recently asked a Fujiflim shop if they did a convert from Flim to Digital format. They claimed that when they convert flim to digital, I only loose 5% to 10% of the picture quality. How true is that?

how big u wanna blow ur prints to? in fact, now most lab convert ur film to digital before they print ur photos.

Im talking about the quality retention when they convert it to a digital format. I dont think they convert it to digital do they?

most labs scan then print .. not many still use contact printers ...

Depends on what kinda scanner you use I suppose, drum scanners supposedly give you better quality IIRC, might wanna PM kex.

Why? And im stunned that they scan in the flim to digital first!! maybe i should ask the uncle for the digital files too :bsmilie:
