flash diffuser

i recently bought a flash diffuser cap from simlim for my fl-36 flash.<its a 3rd party cap and not the original olympus flash cap>
i have to say its my 1st cap and the colour of the pictures turned out to be alil more yellow or rather warm orange then i expected it to be. something like taking pictures during sunset !
is it supposed to be this way or .......??
please do give me some advice here..thanks everyone !!! appreciate the help !!

Try setting custom white balance?

strange... care to share the make of your diffuser? usually they are neutral colored (i.e. white plastic cap) so then the warmth may have come from your environment e.g. warm color ceilings where the light is bounced off

if your diffuser is colored towards yellow, which i doubt as usually gels are used for color change, it is suited for warm setting such as tungsten lights. In this case u need to set ur camera WB to tungsten so both background and subject turn out correct
