Agree much. I went last year. Ain't much to see..

Take note the front part of the top floor of vivocity usually is closed to public as reserved for guests.

and I still remember last year the flashing lights and smokescreen from 1st floor kept distracting the 2nd and 3rd floor, which is very annoying

Either able to sneak to top floor front viewing area, harborfront side, sentosa side or even somewhere higher up. Depends how much you want to bring.

I am planning to get an unobstructed view of the fireworks.
