Is there anyone still taking wedding photography using film? Is there still a market for it?
I'm wondering, because I've been asked by one of my friend to take photos for their wedding, and if all goes well, he MIGHT recommend me to his friends.
The problem is, I can't figure whether I should shoot in film or digital. So far, my speedlite and most lenses are more suitable for SLR due to the full-frame factor and incompatability with the DSLR. :bsmilie: (SLR investments are so much cheaper! Be it for flashes or lenses) My DSLR is just a 300D, which I've shot a wedding once with it before, and I felt was too slow, too little buffer, and future investments for the flashes and lenses are too big. Photography isn't my ricebowl anyway.
I was thinking whether it's actually ok to shoot with film, scan them in and probably process them (if the couples want it in digital format). Would couples actually mind this workflow? :dunno:
Btw, I don't have a film scanner yet :bsmilie: So I'm not exactly sure about the quality of scans and whatnot. Thinking of getting the 4490 though.
