possible to convert the show to MPEG2 format without writing to DVD first? Then use the dvd writer software to do the writing.?

Not possible, without the plug in the Lite edition converts to mpeg1.

Really lost leh! ProShow Gold has lots of negative comments on dpreview with regards to the music sync.
