DSLR recommendations..

I like the Kx, but 1 thing I have read is that it has no AF points, unlike the 2 cameras you've listed in your first post. I wonder if that is true.

Other than that, the Kx makes for a good case at a cheaper entry point.

HTH.

Cheers!

I think you mean no VISIBLE AF points. Yeah, it's one thing that kind of spoils it for me too

Its really a superimposed AF indicator. It does have a dot on the viewfinder to indicate where the AF points is/are.

We share the same dream...

We are the Nikon dreamers! :bsmilie: At the moment, 70-200mm VR II is my top-est of top priority of lenses, next the 14-24mm, whilst 24-70mm last (60mm Macro can temporary do the job for the moment - double tasking as a pure Macro lens and a 60mm focal length lens).

Wah, nv knew you guys itch to move to FX. I only want a uwa like 10-20mm for short term dream only le...wahaha...Kudos to you! Work towards your dreams..I'll dream for my "own trinity"- 10-20mm, 17-70mm, 28-300mm(actually quite a few lens over lap but who cares:bsmilie:).

anyway people, i've got my DSLR already.. and.. its.. a... Nikon D90 :(

Nice, But True why sad?! isn't great you already bought a camera?! ;)

Yeah, I echo everyone's comments here - why the sad face? :bsmilie: Lemme guess, your pocket feeling very light apart from the very euphoric moment?

Anyway, don't tell me you just bought the body alone with no lenses? If not which lens kit?

Welcome to the D90 round table bro! Read the manual kilat kilat, okay? :bsmilie: (mine looking like preserved vegetable now...)

I am already living the dream of my trinity lenses... wait I am still missing one... the long tele end... probably the 50-135/2.8 or 50-15-/2.8 or 80-200/2.8. cannot afford the 70-200.

what lens is that bro? Never heard of it...

My trinity is a UWA zoom, normal prime, and telephoto zoom.

next target: AFS DX 10-24 :D

Tokina 50-135/2.8. Which is the exact same lens as the Pentax 50-135/2.8. It is a very good lens, just that it is not very popular and has recently been discontinued in the Tokina brand. Pentax is still offering though. In DX crop, it the equivalent to the 70-200/2.8. The sigma equivalent is the 50-150/2.8

Bro, skip the 10-24 AFS. Go for the Sigma 10-20 or Tokina 11-16 or 12-24. I tried the Nikon and I felt it was not really worth the money.

I realized my lens collection is very very zhap-pah-lang. Got tokina, got tamron, got AFD, got AFS, got Ai, got Ais.
