KFC is terrible, and I have not eaten anything yet! Yes, this is exactly what I experienced within a week.
I had a terrible urge to eat some KFC chicken after avoiding unhealthy cholesterol laden food for a month to eat something unhealthy. :
Went to Suntec KFC in the evening at about 7pm last Thursday. Ordered a 3 piece chicken meal. The guy who served me told me that they only had drumsticks and wings for both original and crispy recipes. I thought to myself, Wow, KFC now serves chicken like Carona chicken, so I told the guy politely that I wasn't interested anymore.
Just called KFC for a home delivery, I almost never do this. The lady on the line asked my for my phone number, my postal code, my unit number and finally my name. After a pause, she mentioned that she could not deliver to my place. I live in a HDB estate, not some ulu place in Singapore. I then asked her why and she mentioned it was due to the high number of orders. I then asked her why she asked about my particulars if it was simply a case of too many orders to handle, or if they were selectively choosing where they wanted to deliver to. The lady told me that the system prompted her not to take my order, probably due to the location where I stay. I replied, telling her that it's a terrible way to select customers, and she said something along the lines of "we're like this". They were almost telling me that they do not treasure their customers, and that they will select their customers.
The next time you eat KFC, think again. If it isn't the oil and unhealthy way the chicken is cooked, it's the miserable size of the chicken. For those people like me who were able to look beyond these shortcomings, they will now tell you that they don't have the right type of chicken for you to eat or that they don't even want to sell you any.
I hope KFC dies off like how A&W did.
P.S At least KFC wasn't asking me to eat chicken "backsides", now.
