On-screen, it's RGB. On print, it's CMYK.
Spyder is something which helps your monitor to match as closely as possible, the colours to print. ;)

There are different versions of Spyder .. check online which edition has which features, manufacturer is Datacolor.

Thanks Shaoken!! So in a sense it does helps : )

it helps if you get the version that supports printer calibration as well.
by only calibrating the screen w/o calibrating the printer, it does not help.

Hi wdEva, can advise which spyder to get for calibration n printing purpose using either my personal printer or printing from external sources? Many Thanks

you can check out the Spyder3Studio SR, it calibrates the monitor and printer.
if you are printing else where, there is no way to guarantee color consistency.

As if they calibrate their printers, it would be done against their own monitor (which does not produce the same color outputs as your calibrated monitor).

Thanks wdEvA!!
