So you guys got the DA 1770 already? That's nice. I'm sure some guys would be very interested in that one.

Hope you'd share more samples and feelings about the lens so many here would benefit :)

Thanks and cheers!

Yeah...I'm interested..but wonder how will it perform as compare with the Sigma 17-70? Any advise from the pro?

And how much will that be in local shore?

Just curious, the pics shot handheld or with a tripod?

I can probably loan you mine I guess...
A back injury 2 weeks ago kept me from bringing my equipment to work on a daily basis.

Was at Shriro and just saw the new DA 17-70. Size wise it is just a tad bigger than the DA 16-45mm. Unlike the DA 16-45, the lens barrel extends when zoomed to the long end. It has a pretty solid feel and the zoom is very smooth. The focus throw is much shorter than the DA 16-45 even though both have the same 0.28m minimum focusing distance. Definitely a very versatile zoom range.

Fengwei, you should test the DA 17-70 against the DA 16-45 if you can.
Curious to know how much this lens will retail.
