Take note that, for the first 30 mins, I will demo live how I engage a subject and unfold the story. Just observe what I do (DO NOT bring out your camera at this period). Then I will explain and discuss. Next will be your turn..1 by 1 and we will observe.

The topic that I am covering is about reportage/street photography (National Geographic style) and touch on the followings :

[1] How to approach the main subject? (look out for juxtaposing, background and light )
[2] Relationship of photographer and the main subject (observe how I form a relationship with them)
[3] Camera setting and creativity.
[4] Story and theme

Sharing Session on street photography, explanation on setting when doing street photography, observation on how to approach objects, capture and lastly, summarizing the techniques.

Since this is a sharing and learning session, participants are encourage to stick with the group and not to roam around by themselves.

Note : I am not sharing about street candid ya!

wooohoo.. reminded me of the good old days... 30 days in the jungle without cigarette. Con by SAF personnel told us that "no need to bring cigarette, down there very cheap"... reach there, not a single cigarette!!!

The food - Plain rice, 1 fried chicken and chilli sos - everyday till end of training days then can see some curry..sigh! Beer is cheaper than plain water.. $1 only. Wonder if the toilet still the same... 100 cubicles for 400 soldiers, either go very early, or go very late. Then when u brush your teeth, a heli will past by and you brush with sand in your mouth plus the smell of urine...No bunk, sleep in tent on a safari bed for 30 days... bring inflated pillow.

One thing about Wallaby I like is you can strip naked in the jungle and enjoy the nice cold air at night without a single mosquito bothering you. Can never get it in Singapore jungle. If you are on reservist, you'll love the experience though. At night, drink and drink and drink... oohh and the R&R sucks... give u 6 condoms but on a Monday and Tuesday. All close.

If this is your 1st time, enjoy Wallaby bro... bring back memories... if it's not, then u know what to do...

So save my shutter and all the sweaty-ness. Well, there's always next year.
