By another CSer (bobafett81) post in another thread 3 days ago..

From today's Lianhe Zaobao:

Fireworks on: 16 - 19 Feb, 24 - 25 Feb and 4 Mar 2007.

Fireworks on Lunar New Year Eve 17 Feb and Yuan Xiao 4 Mar will be 8 minutes, while fireworks on other nights will be 5-6 minutes.

Fireworks on Lunar New Year Eve will be lit at 12 midnight, while on other nights it will be 9pm. Opening Night 16 Feb will be at 9:15pm.

so who's correct then?

from my past experience, EVE the fireworks is at 12md :)

where's the best place to take shots?

i prefer firecrackers. :)

where's the best place to take shots?

Assuming they're, as usual, going to be fired from Marina Bay across the Merlion, then a good place to shoot is on the Esplanade bridge. However, you probably have to go at 4pm/5pm to reserve a good place. You get a good facing to the fireworks but there is no background while the foreground available to those at the right side of the bridge is the Merlion.

Another good place to shoot is at the Riverside Apartments but that place is not open to the public. Alternatively, High Street Centre next door.
